Ludwig Heldberg receives permission to trade in food and feed — the birth of the Heldberg company.

Helmut Heldberg joins the family business. Three years later, together with his business partner, he founded HELMA Kartoffelvertriebsgesellschaft — the name consists of the surnames Heldberg and Manigel.

HELMA sets up a own in-house shipping company and henceforth takes over the planning of the company's own trucks itself.
